THE SNOWBALL - TEACHING TECHNIQUE

THE SNOWBALL TEACHING TECHNIQUE: - this technique is lots of fun for the kids, but it requires some discipline, which may results in some kids being kicked out of the activity/room; - the teacher has to ensure and mention to the kids that those who do not disciplined behaviour - will not be allowed to participate; WHEN TO USE: - the teacher wants to teach some basic phrases or words; - this technique serves as a review as well; NECESSARY MATERIALS: - one piece of paper – folded into a paper ball – that’s our SNOWBALL. THE BASICS: - the teacher reads the question to the kids; - the teacher starts the game by throwing the SNOWBALL at the kids; - whoever of the kids is closer to the ball, that is the kid nominated to answer the question - if the child does not know the answer, then the teacher asks the kids in the Snowball area to raise their hands (as to show who may be able to answer this question) - the students
